Landslide remediation completed, BAM 26,645 allocated

The remediation of the landslide in Nurudina Gackića Street at number 78-a has been completed. BAM 26,645 was allocated for this project in this year's budget of the Centar Municipality, reports the Patria news agency.

This is a steep slope where the main problem was a landslide above the facility at Nurudina Gackića Street number 78-a, which had a tendency to spread further, thus endangering other residential buildings in the hinterland. Therefore, as part of the landslide remediation project, a reinforced concrete wall with a total length of 11 meters, divided into three sections, was built.

In addition, drainage pipes were installed behind the wall, which were then connected to the existing city sewage system, and stone embankments were also made.

The Institute for the Construction of Sarajevo Canton was responsible for the implementation and supervision of the project, engaging the construction company 'Grakop' for the execution of the works. The design of the landslide remediation project was entrusted to the Institute of Geotechnics and Geology of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo.
