Police Administration of the MUP KS on the final farewell to Bešlić: Police will regulate traffic, use of drones prohibited

(Patria) - On Monday, 13 October 2025, the final farewell to Halid Bešlić will take place in Sarajevo. Given that a large number of people are expected, the Police Administration of the MUP KS issued a public statement.

At 11:00 a.m., a commemoration will be held at the National Theatre Sarajevo, which citizens will also be able to follow on Susan Sontag Square. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., traffic regulations will be changed in Branilaca Sarajeva and Kulovića streets.

At 1:30 p.m., the funeral prayer will be performed at the Begova Mosque. We appeal to citizens who intend to attend the funeral, if arriving by passenger motor vehicles, to park further away from the old city core, and to ensure they do not leave vehicles in the streets in a way that hinders or prevents the flow of traffic.

At 3:00 p.m., the burial will take place at the Bare City Cemetery.

Increased traffic is expected on all routes leading to the Bare City Cemetery, which will be regulated by police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. On the M-18 main road, the Vogošća – Bare section, due to the expected increased influx of vehicles, temporary rerouting of heavy goods vehicles to alternative routes is possible. Also, in Jukićeva, Betanija and Dejzina Bikića streets, traffic regulations will be temporarily changed based on the on-site assessment.

On Alipašina Street, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the movement of heavy goods vehicles will be prohibited, and they will be rerouted to alternative routes.

Due to great interest, we emphasize that the use of drones above the gathering of people at all mentioned locations is prohibited.
