Management and Supervisory Board warn: Public sale of Agrokomerc is illegal

The management and Supervisory Board of the food company Agrokomerc warn that if the public sale of Agrokomerc takes place on August 28 this year before the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša, it will be a deliberate violation of the Law and the Decree on financial consolidation of business entities in FBiH, but also one of the biggest robberies of state property in BiH, writes the Patria News Agency.

A third repeated hearing has been scheduled for the end of this month before the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša, at which Agrokomerc's real estate is planned to be sold in order to satisfy the claims of the company Lijanović and several smaller companies.

However, the management and Supervisory Board of Agrokomerc explain that such a debt collection process is illegal, and that it involves millions in criminal activity, which would practically destroy the food giant Agrokomerc, which currently employs about 200 people.

Agrokomerc Management and Supervisory Board issued a public warning to the authorities in FBiH

Agrokomerc's debt to Lijanovići was incurred slightly more than six years ago, when the then management of Agrokomerc borrowed about 500,000 KM from Lijanović, a former federal minister of agriculture, and his family, and in return, Lijanovići registered their claim on Agrokomerc's property worth more than 21 million KM.

Since Agrokomerc did not repay the debt, Lijanovići are now trying to collect the debt by taking over their food processing plants, whose value is twenty times or more higher than Agrokomerc's actual debt to Lijanovići.

The management and Supervisory Board of Agrokomerc explain that the takeover of Agrokomerc's plants in the manner envisioned by the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša would be completely contrary to the law.

- Given the fact that Agrokomerc is undergoing financial consolidation, it is not possible to initiate forced collection proceedings on the company's property - it is stated in the statement issued by Agrokomerc. The management and Supervisory Board of Agrokomerc previously stated that they do not shy away from the debt they owe to Lijanovići and others, but that handing over Agrokomerc's plants to other owners is not a solution to the problems that have arisen.

Agrokomerc calls on the Government of FBiH, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of FBiH, as well as the Federal Prosecutor's Office to protect Agrokomerc's property, writes NAP.
