Warning for drivers: Wet and slippery road, caution due to landslides

In most parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic this morning is moving on wet and slippery roads. Due to occasional heavy downpours, drivers are urged to exercise additional caution because of the larger amount of water that is locally accumulating on the road. There is an increased risk of landslides on sections passing through cuts. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all road routes and to adjust their driving to road conditions, reports the Patria news agency. 

Due to the repair of the bridge in the village of Želeća on the M-17 Zenica-Žepče section, traffic is suspended and redirected to a detour through the settlement of Rakovica. 

Due to mine clearance on the main road M-1.8 Tuzla-Orašje (in the village of Cerik) from 08:00 to 16:00, there will be occasional half-hour traffic stops.

Among roads with ongoing works, we highlight: the A-1 motorway sections Visoko-Podlugovi and Sarajevo north-Vlakovo (Reljevo viaduct), then main roads: Jablanica-Prozor, Doboj-Gračanica, Čelinac-Kotor Varoš and Jajce-Banja Luka, as well as the northern entrance to Mostar and the passage through Mostar.

According to information collected from the Border Police, waiting times at border crossings are no longer than 15 minutes, BIHAMK announced.
