Warning from BIHAMK: Traffic slowed across the country due to snow, do not travel without winter equipment

(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is moving on wet or damp roads, and BIHAMK warns of frequent landslides and advises more cautious driving.

Due to snow falling in the wider areas of: Jajce, Novi Travnik, Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ, Livno, Kupres, Tomislavgrad, Glamoč and Bosansko Grahovo, as well as on certain sections in higher regions: Turbe-Banja Luka (Vlašić), Sarajevo-Tuzla (Nišići and Karaula), Donji Vakuf-Turbe, Glamoč-Mliništa, Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar (Oštrelj) and Bosanski Petrovac-Bihać (Lanište), traffic is moving slowly.

Do not travel without winter equipment.

On the Jablanica-Bildinje main road, traffic is still suspended due to road damage.

Today, the start of repair works has been announced on the M-17 main road in Donja Jablanica, at the Komadinovo vrelo site. In the coming period, slower traffic is expected, with possible short suspensions.

Due to works on replacing expansion joints on the Reljevo viaduct, on the Butila-Sarajevo north motorway section, vehicles are moving in one traffic lane in the direction of travel. On the Podlugovi-Visoko section, due to works on installing crash barriers, a passing lane is in operation at the work site.

Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the main roads: Turbe-Nević Polje, Stupari-Živinice, Sanski Most-Vrhpolje, Lepenica-Han Ploča, Buna-Masline and Čitluk-Ljubuški.

On the Rogatica-Ustiprača main road, due to bridge damage, vehicles up to 30 tons are moving in one lane, while traffic for vehicles over 30 tons is suspended.

Due to regular maintenance works on equipment in the Salakovac tunnel (M-17 Jablanica-Mostar), during the night hours (from 11 PM to 5 AM), vehicles are moving alternately, in one lane.

There are no longer waiting times for passenger vehicles at border crossings.

Traffic is banned for vehicles over 5 tons maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the GP Šepak crossing.
