SIPA employees at work today, Ćulum made a decision on how to act

(Patria) - Employees of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) came to work in Istočno Sarajevo today, after the law prohibiting the agency's operation in the territory of RS was published in the Official Gazette of RS. The law also applies to the HJPC, the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The president of the SIPA Trade Union, Edin Kahrimanović, confirmed that all employees are at work and that there is no difference compared to previous days. The director of SIPA, Darko Ćulum, is also at his workplace today. In the past few days, he gave short and unclear statements to the media. He did the same today, stating that he had made a decision on how to act, but that he would not reveal it.

"It is important to keep a clear head, to preserve peace and stability," Ćulum told Euronews.

According to Patria's information, SIPA employees were also carrying out tasks in the field yesterday, such as war crimes cases. There is no decision on this today.

At a press conference held yesterday in Banja Luka, the president of RS, Milorad Dodik, stated that 300 Serbs from SIPA would transfer to work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS. The secretary of his cabinet, Jelena Pajić Baštinac, said this morning that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS would offer SIPA members working in the territory of RS to transfer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS.

"I think the bylaws are already ready," Pajić Baštinac stated.

In the headquarters of SIPA in Lukavica, the number of Serbs and Bosniaks is almost equal. Although the Law on SIPA provides for a Regional Office Sarajevo, after the SIPA building was constructed in Istočno Sarajevo, the Regional Office Sarajevo also moved there.

It should be recalled that the headquarters of SIPA was originally in Sarajevo, with the Regional Office Sarajevo at another location. However, the authorities at the time decided to house everything in the same building in Lukavica.
