(Patria) - The trade union organization of employees in the judicial institutions of Brčko District BiH has decided to go on a warning strike which will be held on June 16, 17, and 18, 2025, between 11 AM and 12 PM. Employees of all judicial institutions of Brčko District will participate in the strike.
As stated in the union's decision, the strike is due to the difficult economic and social position of administrative staff and the inability to initiate negotiations with the employer regarding the Law on Salaries in any other way.
In their demands, employees are seeking:
- Urgent formation of negotiation teams by the Brčko District Government and the Judicial Commission with the aim of concluding a special collective agreement for judicial employees.
- That the Brčko District BiH Assembly considers amendments to the Law on Salaries at its next session and secures the necessary funds in the 2025 budget rebalance.
- Payment of a one-time financial aid in the amount of 900 KM for workers with secondary vocational education, in order to mitigate the salary difference compared to entity institutions.
The gathering point during the strike will be the parking lot in front of the Appellate and Basic Court buildings of Brčko District BiH.
The strike committee consists of Samir Tursunović, Blaženka Mijić, Amela Pezerović, Ružica Bosankić, and Branko Mišić.
