Mevlud and zikr recited on the eve of the grand opening of Ahmed-aga Krpić Mosque

(Patria) - As part of the program for the grand opening of the Ahmed-aga Krpić Mosque in Bijeljina, mevlud and zikr were recited this evening.

Addressing the large number of gathered believers, the chief imam of Bijeljina, Samir-ef. Camić, pointed out the significance of the renovation of this mosque, stating that it is the second renovated mosque in the city of Bijeljina, and the seventh renovated in the area of this Majlis.

“This mosque holds a special place in our hearts, a special place here in Bijeljina. This mosque is a Badr. We recited the first mevlud in this mosque on the occasion of Badr. Allah knows why it is so. We take lessons from history, we learn, we remember, but we look at what we will do today for a better tomorrow. And this mosque is proof of the fact that if we strive, the Lord sees the effort, and it is worth acting, for both worlds. The people of Bijeljina have strived to build the mosque with funds from the community members, every mark was invested by them. They tried to take, to steal our identity, culture, tradition, primarily through mosques, but we are grateful to Allah that we are opening the mosque tomorrow,” said efendija Camić.

The guest speaker on this occasion was Mustafa-ef. Gobeljić, chief imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Brčko and vice-president of the Assembly of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This is a significant event. To renovate a house of worship means to breathe life into the noblest part of man, the soul, morality,” said Gobeljić.

He reminded that Allah indicates two important messages - a message about our obligation to take care of ourselves, as well as a message about guidance on various ways of self-care.

“To take care of oneself in the right way means to ensure the right to life for oneself and one’s family. It is a life of freedom and prosperity, a freedom we will breathe in with full lungs. Whoever takes care of themselves in this way, takes care of themselves in the right way. Life in dignity and freedom cannot be achieved without effort, exertion, sacrifice,” Gobeljić stated, among other things.

The mevlud program was performed by the imams of the Majlis of Sarajevo, while the zikr was led by sheikh Asim-ef. Čakal, sheikh of the Naqshbandi tekke “Sheikh Hamza Bali” from Gornja Tuzla. The grand opening ceremony begins tomorrow at 11:30 AM, and will be attended by the Rais al-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović, the mufti of Tuzla Vahid-ef. Fazlović, as well as guests from the religious, political, and social life of Bosnia and Herzegovina and this local community.
