'Usual military drill': North Korea launched three more missiles

(Patria) – North Korea fired three unidentified missiles from its east coast just a week after launching two short-range projectiles.

The missiles were fired on Monday from the coastal city of Sondok, where a military training ground is located, the South Korean General Staff reported.

The missiles traveled at a speed of 200 km/h and reached an altitude of 50 km.

Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono commented that they were most likely ballistic missiles that did not end up in Japan's economic zone, although the Japanese government is still analyzing the details of the launch.

After a three-month lull, North Korea launched projectiles on March 2 under the personal supervision of leader Kim Jong Un, stating that it was a usual military drill.

Pyongyang is under multiple sanctions from the United Nations, the USA, South Korea, etc., due to its weapons program, which it does not intend to abandon.

Negotiations with the USA are in a kind of stalemate, and Great Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, and Estonia raised the issue of North Korea's missile launches at a UN Security Council session last week.

The British Guardian writes that the North Korean leader's sister stated that the purpose of the military drills is not to intimidate anyone, as reported by the state news agency KCNA.
