Board of Directors of Indirect Taxation Authority approves distribution of 22.2 million KM from road tolls

The Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH today adopted the Decision on determining temporary coefficients for the distribution of funds from the single account for the period July-September 2015.

According to this decision, temporary coefficients for the distribution of revenues for the third quarter of this year have been determined as 63.85 percent for the Federation of BiH, 32.60 percent for Republika Srpska, and 3.55 percent for Brčko District.

The ITA Management Board also adopted today a decision on the temporary distribution of road toll revenues for highways that remained in the sub-account of the single account.

After the adoption of this decision, 22,207,168 KM will be available, distributed as follows: 59 percent (approximately 13.3 million KM) belongs to the Federation of BiH, 39 percent (approximately 8.8 million KM) will be allocated to Republika Srpska, and two percent (approximately 450,000 KM) to Brčko District.

This decision temporarily distributes 10 percent of the total road toll revenues generated for highways, and it was concluded that legal solutions for the final, rather than temporary, distribution of these funds will be determined in the future.

Board members today also adopted amendments to the Decision on costs of inspecting goods outside working hours and outside customs authorities' premises, the main goal of which is to facilitate business for entrepreneurs, with the conclusion that a new comprehensive decision will be prepared to further improve this area.

Today, amendments and additions to the Decision on the procedure for exercising the right to exemption from import duties on equipment put into free circulation for civil protection and fire-fighting authorities were also determined. This decision will enable benefits in the procurement of equipment for volunteer fire departments that operate with outdated equipment, especially in areas frequently exposed to fires.

The Management Board today adopted the ITA's Medium-Term Plan, which represents the Authority's framework of work, and specific activities will be elaborated through annual plans.

At today's session, there was no decision on the establishment of the Neum Customs Office, as it was assessed that this matter needs to be prepared comprehensively with detailed analyses.
