Indirect Taxation Authority Board: FBiH must pay RS 32 million KM

(Patria) - The Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH at today's session considered the draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, which concerns facilitations during the procurement of alcohol intended for the production of disinfectants.

If the proposed amendments from the draft of this law are accepted in the further procedure, domestic producers will be enabled not to pay excise duties on alcohol used for disinfection or as raw material. After the declaration of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, the need for alcohol procurement for the production of disinfectants increased because domestic companies in this area are completely tied to the foreign market, which was one of the key reasons for the Management Board to support the requests of the business community in this area.

The ITA Management Board adopted the Decision on the first temporary settlement between indirect tax distribution beneficiaries from the ITA Single Account for 2020, according to which the Federation of BiH is obliged to pay the Republika Srpska 32,378,372 KM.

At today's session, held via video link, the Management Board accepted the report on the execution of the ITA budget for the first six months of this year, as well as the Authority's budget request for the next year in order to meet the deadlines from the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions.

The Management Board took note of the submitted information and reports within the jurisdiction of the ITA, including the report on the financial audit of the ITA for 2019.
