Board of Directors to elect BHT1 director: Candidates Marković, Butković, Deljković and Tuzlić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BHRT Board of Directors will hold a session next week at which the director of BHT1 should be elected, after Mario Vrankić submitted his resignation at the end of December 2017.

Nikola Marković was then appointed acting director, and he is one of the candidates for this position.

Although the Board session was held this week, there was no agreement on the candidate who will take over the top position of the state television.

In addition to Marković, the other applicants for this position are Benjamin Butković, a long-time editor of IPP and Multimedia who resigned at the end of October, Adis Deljković, editor of the Foreign Policy Desk, and Dževdet Tuzlić, editor of the BHT1 culture desk. Both Butković and Tuzlić have been in journalism for more than 25 years.

The director of BHT1 is elected for a five-year term. Mario Vrankić held the position of director from April 2014, and before him, Olivera Dodig held the post for 14 months after the dismissal of Mario Pejić.
