University of Sarajevo to get 11 professors emeriti: Among them Habul, Hadžiahmetović, Lagumdžija, Šain, Hafizović, Karić...

(Patria) - On Monday, December 4, a formal session of the Senate of the University of Sarajevo will be held, which will include the promotion of professors emeriti, on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the University of Sarajevo.

The honorary title of professor emeritus is awarded to retired full professors of the University of Sarajevo who have continuously contributed to the improvement and development of scientific-research or art-research work, the development and progress of the University and faculties/academies, and the teaching process at the University over a longer period, and have gained an international reputation.

The Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, will promote the following professors to the honorary title of professor emeritus of the University of Sarajevo:

1. Dr. Aida Habul, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Economics,

2. Dr. Azra Hadžiahmetović, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Economics,

3. Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Economics,

4. Dr. Željko Šain, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Economics,

5. Dr. Orhan Bajrektarević, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences,

6. Dr. Rešid Hafizović, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences,

7. Dr. Enes Karić, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences,

8. Dr. Davorka Završnik, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Pharmacy,

9. Dr. Nijaz Ibrulj, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Philosophy,

10. Dr. Abdulah Gagić, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,

11. Dr. Emina Rešidbegović, retired full professor of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

We are marking the 74th anniversary of the University of Sarajevo with a formal session of the Senate and the promotion of professors emeriti of the University of Sarajevo, and during December, it will continue with formal promotions of graduates, master's students, and doctors of science, the promotion of the Monograph of artworks of the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, the promotion of publications from the Oriental Institute, a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, as well as exhibitions and concerts by the art academies of UNSA.
