450 kilograms of seized narcotics destroyed

(Patria)- The Commission for the Destruction of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of Bosnia and Herzegovina carried out the destruction of seized narcotics that were stored in the premises of the Federal Police Administration.



The destruction was carried out at the facilities of the company "Aluminij Industries" d.o.o. Mostar, in accordance with orders from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Federal Police Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, and with the support of the Ministry of Security of BiH.

Approximately 450 kilograms of narcotic drugs were destroyed, predominantly marijuana, as well as smaller quantities of amphetamines, MDMA, and cocaine, which were seized by the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The destruction was attended by Deputy Minister of Security Ivica Bošnjak and Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dubravka Bošnjak. Deputy Minister Bošnjak emphasized the importance of continuing the process of destroying seized narcotics. He recalled that the last destruction was carried out in March 2021, and expressed the expectation that this process will be carried out continuously in order to destroy as soon as possible the drugs currently stored in the premises of police agencies in BiH.
