Svetozar Pudarić has passed away

(Patria) - Former Vice President of the Federation of BiH, Svetozar Pudarić, passed away today in Sarajevo, confirmed the SDP to Patria. Pudarić was born in 1959 in Sarajevo. This member of the SDP graduated with a degree in archaeology from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 1983. He was married and had three children.

Pudarić entered politics in 1976, joining the League of Communists of Yugoslavia (KP). After the dissolution of the KP in 1990, he became a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

After completing his studies, Pudarić was employed in 1984 at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical, and Natural Heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). He worked there until 1993.

During 1991 and 1992, he was a councilor in the Assembly of the City of Sarajevo, and later a member of the War Presidency of the capital city. After the war, he worked as the Secretary for Information in the SDP and as the Head of Cabinet for the President of the Federation of BiH, Karlo Filipović.

In the general elections in 2002, he was elected as a representative in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton and delegated to the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH. He won a mandate in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton again in 2006, but was again delegated to the House of Peoples of the FBiH. In the general elections in 2010, he was elected as a representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, and in March 2011, the Parliament of FBiH elected him as the Vice President of the Federation of BiH.
