Stage removed from New Year's celebration, tram traffic restored

(Patria) - After last night's New Year's Eve celebration in Sarajevo, attended by more than 55,000 visitors according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the stage and all equipment were dismantled in record time.

The technical organizers of the New Year's celebration in front of the Eternal Flame dismantled all the technical equipment by 12 PM.

Together with domestic and foreign productions engaged for this spectacle, they completed the dismantling and removal of all equipment well before the deadline.

Due to the dismantling of the equipment, the restoration of regular traffic in this part of Sarajevo was expected to be only tomorrow, but trams are already transporting passengers on the Ilidža - Baščaršija line - this information was confirmed by GRAS.

- Trams are already transporting Sarajevans and tourists from all over the world who came to celebrate the New Year holidays with us.

All praise to the organizers, and this is the first time they have dismantled the stage and accompanying equipment well before the deadline, so we have restored tram traffic a day earlier than agreed - said GRAS.

The work of the employees of JKP Rad Sarajevo, led by Fahrudin Čovrka, head of operational works for winter and summer road maintenance of this company, and Fahrudin Tinjak, executive director for public hygiene and maintenance of public roads, who have already cleaned the celebration venue and the city center, is also commendable.

As aerial footage shows, a river of people could be seen last night in Titova Street, which was too small for all the visitors.

Thousands of people were outside Titova Street, and crowds were noticeable all the way to Aria Shopping Center.
