US Tariffs Suspension on Hold, Košarac and Amidžić Criticize Konaković, Forto, and Helez, Give Them Mousetraps

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not consider the issue of suspending US tariffs at today's session, which was proposed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Staša Košarac (SNSD), in line with the request of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.

Ministers from the Bosniak constituent people were absent from the session, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković, who is in Kosovo, and the Minister of Defense Zukan Helez. Only the Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, Sevlid Hurtić (BH Zeleni), was present. Hurtić opposed this agenda item, leading to its removal from the agenda. Hurtić stated that the documentation was incomplete and that the opinion of the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority was missing.

Following the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Košarac addressed the public, calling on Konaković to return the toy excavator (which Košarac had previously brought) and offering mousetraps to him and the Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Edin Forto (Naša stranka), alluding to the leptospirosis outbreak in Sarajevo Canton caused by rodents.

"Given that we thought Konaković was somewhat more serious, I appeal to him to return the excavator because he doesn't know how to use it. And here are mousetraps for him and Forto, so they can deal with municipal matters because they are clearly good for nothing else but municipal problems.

I appeal to him to return the excavator, he doesn't know how to use it, he presents himself as if he can achieve something, but he can't achieve anything. He is in serious panic and fear, and he is contaminating the political relations between Serbs, Bosniaks, and Croats. He is probably afraid of 2026, of electoral defeat. He is attacking Dodik, Željka Cvijanović, and Republika Srpska. I think from June 3rd he will start attacking HDZ, and then (High Representative Christian) Schmidt. But here, let him deal with rats and let's see if he can do that when he knows nothing about excavators," said Košarac.

The Minister of Finance and Treasury, Srđan Amidžić, stated that the next session is scheduled for June 12th.

"And I am more convinced that we will meet (Nebojša) Vukanović then rather than Konaković and Helez. I call on the people in the FBiH who are obstructing to come forward and say that they are not in favor of suspending US tariffs and that they do not want cooperation with the US. They should say that publicly, not hide behind certain procedures," said Amidžić.
