Uk offers assistance to Montenegro in firefighting

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk sent a letter today to the Embassy of Montenegro in BiH expressing regret over the difficult situation caused by fires in several locations in Montenegro and offering concrete assistance from Sarajevo Canton.

- We are aware of the seriousness of the situation and the challenges you are facing. Our readiness to help stems from the long-standing good and friendly relations we maintain with Montenegro.

Sarajevo Canton, as part of the international assistance mechanism, has made its firefighting units and equipment available to support firefighting and remediation efforts - said Uk.

He added that solidarity is crucial in such moments and that Sarajevo Canton is ready to respond quickly if Montenegro accepts the offered assistance.
