UIOBIH: The Robbery Continues Even After Čaušević, the Actors Are the Same, Only the Director Is New

The bridge on the Sava River near Bosanska Gradiška is not a priority on the Trans-European Transport Network, as it is not in the category of projects of interest to the European Union at connection points with neighbouring countries, the Delegation of the European Union to BiH announced.

The mentioned bridge is on the reserve list of priorities and its construction can be expected only after 2020.

This information disappointed many in the Republic of Srpska and in BiH, and the SDS believes that this is yet another confirmation that the Government of Srpska has been investing money in meaningless projects over the past 10 years, from which only SNSD officials and companies benefit, BNTV reported, as carried by the Patria news agency. 

"On the day when the Government of the Republic of Srpska is borrowing another 60 million marks to pay pensions, confirmation arrives that the Banja Luka - Bosanska Gradiška highway remains a highway to nowhere, because there is nothing from the construction of the bridge on the Sava," says Aleksandra Pandurević, head of the SDS Club of Deputies in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, adding:

"This does not end the squandering of budget money, because at the end of the highway, which is probably the most expensive highway in Europe per built kilometre, and in front of the non-existent bridge, the construction of a customs terminal is planned. At the end of last year, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH signed a contract worth 8.4 million marks with the company Niskogradnja from Laktaši for the construction of that terminal.

It is obvious that the previously established practice of robbery through the Indirect Taxation Authority has continued even after the departure of Kemal Čaušević. The actors are the same, only the director of the Authority has changed."
