ITA BiH: 5.4 Billion BAM Collected from Indirect Taxes in Six Months

(Patria) - Revenue from indirect taxes for the first six months of 2024 amounted to 5 billion and 422 million
BAM, an increase of 422 million BAM or 8.42% compared to the same period in 2023 when they amounted to 5
billion BAM.

In the first six months of 2024, the ITA returned 1 billion and 23 million BAM to the economy.

Net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries for the first six months of 2024, namely the state, entities and Brčko District, amounted to 4 billion and 398 million BAM, an increase of 487 million BAM compared to the revenues beneficiaries received from the Single Account in the same period of 2023.

In June 2024, 924 million BAM in indirect taxes were collected, which is 14 million BAM more
compared to June 2023.

For the financing of state institutions in the first six months of 2024, an amount of 500 million BAM was allocated.

The largest portion of indirect tax revenue, as well as all collected surplus revenue, ended up with the entities and Brčko District. Thus, in the first six months of 2024, 2 billion and 395 million BAM were allocated to the Federation of BiH, 1 billion and 342 million BAM to the Republika Srpska, and 135 million BAM to Brčko District.

Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 111.9 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 73.9 million BAM, and Brčko District 3.7 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve in the special toll account in the amount of 0.25 BAM.
