UIO BiH: Tax frauds worth 16.8 million KM reported to prosecutor's offices

(Patria) - Officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) of BiH filed 62 reports to prosecutor's offices last year against taxpayers on suspicion of damaging the budget by 16.8 million convertible marks.

- Officials of the Sector for Enforcement of Regulations filed 62 reports to competent prosecutor's offices in 2025 on the existence of grounds for suspicion of a committed criminal offense and perpetrator, with a total reported damage amount of 16,863,545 KM - stated the UIO, writes Capital.ba

More than half of the filed reports relate to the criminal offense of tax evasion or fraud.

- The majority of reports submitted to competent prosecutor's offices relate to the criminal offense of tax evasion or fraud, with 43 reports (30 reports, 12 information, and one supplement) with a reported damage amount of 13.3 million, and to the criminal offense of illegal trade in excise products, with 12 reports (12 reports) with a reported damage amount of 392,310 KM - added the UIO BiH.
