SARAJEVO, (Patria) - All business processes at the Indirect Taxation Authority are proceeding completely normally and without any interruption or delay. All customs posts in Bosnia and Herzegovina are working full working hours, and import and export customs procedures are being completed in the shortest possible time, respecting legal regulations, the UIO BiH announced.
Director of the UIO, Miro Džakula, visited the Gradina and Gradiška border crossings today, where the traffic of passenger vehicles has significantly decreased, while the traffic of freight vehicles has increased both entering and exiting BiH.
"This specifically means that the import of goods into BiH, as well as the export of goods from BiH to foreign countries, is proceeding completely normally, regardless of the final destination. At the Gradiška border crossing alone, 250 trucks entered BiH in the last 24 hours, while in the same period, 247 trucks exited.
In accordance with the valid instructions of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Authority has implemented all prescribed measures to protect against the spread of COVID 19. This primarily relates to the organization of work in a way that will ensure basic personal protection for UIO employees, ensuring that managers of all organizational units within the Authority are present at their workplaces so that all business processes proceed completely smoothly. The Authority is also prepared to organize the redistribution of employees from one customs location to another if necessary," the UIO BiH announced.
