IOU BiH: Necessary repairs made at Rača Border Crossing

The Indirect Taxation Authority has, in accordance with available financial resources, carried out necessary repairs at the Rača border crossing, it was announced from the IOU BiH, reports the Patria news agency.  

In order to improve the general condition at the Rača border crossing, a new sanitary container with four toilets has been installed, and the existing shower cabin has been renovated.

In addition, the water basin has been cleaned and disinfected, a hydrochlorinator for dosing water with chlorine has been installed, as well as a water purification filter. Repairs at the Rača border crossing were carried out in accordance with the available funds in the Authority's budget intended for current maintenance.

We remind you that out of a total of 89 border crossings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority are present at 54 crossings, while at the remaining border crossings, only members of the BiH Border Police are present.

As the existing Law on Border Control entrusts the Authority with the responsibility for maintaining border crossings, it is necessary to ensure sufficient funds in the Authority's budget so that the crossings can be maintained in a way that provides satisfactory service to all citizens and taxpayers, the statement reads.
