
(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration (FUP) issued a statement following information that a police officer from Novo Sarajevo was arrested for lewd acts against a minor.
"Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out activities within their jurisdiction, and deprived N.P. (born 1989) from Sarajevo of liberty, who is linked to the commission of the criminal offense of 'Lewd acts' under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina against a minor," the FUP stated.
They added that as part of these activities, pursuant to an order from the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a search of the person, house/apartment, accompanying and auxiliary facilities, and a passenger motor vehicle was conducted, during which items that could be linked to the commission of the said criminal offense were found.
"Upon completion of the search, the person was deprived of liberty and criminally processed in the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, after which, along with the appropriate reports, he was handed over within the legal deadline to the acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton," the FUP stated.
