Trampled snow hampers traffic in Krajina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - There is trampled snow on the roadway this morning in the higher areas of western and southwestern Bosnia. We highlight the following routes: Bihać-Ključ, Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar, Bihać-Velika Kladuša, Livno-Kupres, Livno-Drvar and Livno-Glamoč-Mrkonjić Grad. Additional difficulties on these sections are caused by strong wind, which locally forms snowdrifts. On other sections, the roadway is mostly wet, and due to low temperatures, we warn of possible black ice. We advise special caution in higher areas, as well as on bridges, viaducts and tunnel approaches. We also draw attention to frequent landslides or rockfalls.

We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution and not to set off without winter equipment.

Due to works in the Crnaja tunnel on the Konjic-Jablanica road, traffic alternates during the day, using one lane, while during the night hours (11:30 PM to 4:30 AM) traffic is suspended.

On the Jajce-Donji Vakuf main road, due to works in the Skela tunnel, traffic alternates during the day, using one lane. During the night hours (10 PM to 6 AM) traffic is suspended and diverted to the bypass around the tunnel (around the Metaling factory).

Traffic is slowed due to works on the following routes: Jablanica-Mostar (Komadinovo vrelo to the Begić and Begović bridge), Grude-Ljubuški (at the exit from Grude) and Stolac-Hutovo (in the village of Cerovica).

Due to an activated landslide, on the section of the Foča-Goražde main road (in the village of Filipovići), traffic is slowed, using one traffic lane.

At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 30 minutes.
