Belgrade's Partizan will play their next European match behind closed doors due to offensive chants during the match against Podgorica's Budućnost in the Champions League qualifiers, UEFA has decided, reports the Patria agency.
Fans of the Belgrade club insulted the guests from Podgorica, and during the match, chants of Ratko Mladić's name could be heard, which did not go unnoticed by members of UEFA's Disciplinary Committee.
Partizan immediately appealed UEFA's decision and believes they will still be able to play their next European match in front of an audience.
In addition to playing behind closed doors, Partizan will also have to pay a fine of 100,000 euros.
The match between Partizan and Budućnost was played in Belgrade on the day marking the 22nd anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.
