Association "UDIK" receives a donation of 1,500 KM

The aggression carried out against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995 is one of the greatest examples of human rights and dignity violations in history. Associations of civilian victims of war in the Centar municipality and families who survived tragic fates have strived to appropriately mark the sites of suffering.

The association "UDIK" considered it necessary to adequately record, in cooperation with representatives of civilian victims of war and their families, both existing and potential monuments and memorials to civilian victims of the aggression in the Centar municipality. The Centar Municipality supports numerous activities related to the construction and renovation of memorials, and for this reason, it supported the project of the "UDIK" Association with 1,500 KM, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The project "Mapping of Monuments to Civilian Victims of Aggression in the Centar Municipality 1992-1995", among other things, includes the recording of monuments to civilian victims of the aggression in the municipality and informing the population, with a focus on the young population.

Through the implementation of the projects, existing and potential monuments to civilian victims of aggression will be researched, and this will be done in two phases.

In the first phase, the Association will examine the level of awareness among young people about the suffering of civilian victims in the Centar municipality during the aggression, and in the second phase, a team of researchers will conduct research on existing and potential monuments, and contact associations and victims' families. Biographical data for existing monuments will be recorded, as well as data collected for potential ones.

We remind you that 300,000 KM has been allocated in this year's budget of the Centar Municipality for the support of projects of non-governmental organizations and associations.
