Friends of BiH Association: Security agencies must act preventively, not deal with consequences

The "Friends of BiH" Association expresses deep concern over the murder of two soldiers of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Rajlovac, according to a statement from the association, reports the news agency Patria.  

- Security and police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina have once again shown that they are unable to adequately and timely protect the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Although citizens allocate millions of marks annually for their work, dozens of police and intelligence agencies in the country, for who knows what time, have shown that they deal with the consequences, but not the causes of attacks on citizens, their property, as well as on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Citizens are exposed to frequent and generalized raising of tensions in the media about possible terrorist threats, but citizens always remain without concrete information and without warnings about real danger. Those responsible are doing nothing on prevention, registration, monitoring, and timely prevention of terrorist acts, as yesterday's brutal murder of two BiH Armed Forces soldiers has shown.

After all, those responsible did not know how to determine the motive for the murder, nor whether it was terrorism. Only after searching the killer's apartment was his indoctrination into religious ideology revealed.

Timely action in the face of terrorist threats is possible only if security is worked on continuously and professionally, and if capable personnel do it.  

The "Friends of BiH" Association demands that professional, not politically suitable, personnel be appointed to leading positions in intelligence agencies, police units, and prosecution teams.

Security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina must be able to respond to the most dangerous threats at any moment, because it is clear that serious threats of terrorist acts are coming to our country from many sides, it was announced from the Association.
