Association Pomozi.ba: 20-day-old twins Adna and Adi need our help

The association Pomozi.ba has launched a humanitarian campaign to help twin babies born about 20 days ago in the refugee settlement of Mihatovići near Tuzla, Patria reports.

We are publishing the association's appeal in full.   

-Born a little more than 20 days ago. Born in a refugee settlement. Born without a father. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country that in such cases pays the mother only 118 marks per month after six months, plus 20 marks in child allowance per child.

The babies are in Mihatovići, a refugee settlement near Tuzla. The very word refugee is too heavy, considering it is associated with events from twenty years ago, and the very fact that we still have such settlements is devastating.

It is even more devastating that in the mentioned settlement, almost all are social cases, including our two little babies who have just come into this world.

The babies are named Adi and Adna and currently need everything - from diapers, focusing on sizes 3, 4 and 5, to clothing and Aptamil food. They also need a stroller, but what is most important - the babies are healthy, thank God, and for other things we will manage more easily.

They have firewood and coal for a period, and we must not forget the mother either, so we will also provide general food as well as some other household items.

The long-term and concrete help in this case is to secure a roof over the babies' heads outside the refugee settlement, so they can have a nice and peaceful childhood.
