Association of Citizens Originating from Sandžak in BiH Appeals for State Aid to Sandžak

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Association of Citizens Originating from Sandžak in Bosnia and Herzegovina has sent an appeal for help to all relevant institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Sarajevo Canton regarding the newly emerged situation of an increased number of people infected with the COVID-19 virus in Sandžak.

The appeal for help was sent to the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković, the Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalić, the Deputy Prime Minister of FBiH and Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, the Deputy Prime Minister of FBiH and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača, the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić, the Chairman of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton Mirza Čelik, the Minister of Finance of Sarajevo Canton Jasmin Halebić and the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka.

"We hereby ask all those named, in accordance with their competencies and capabilities, and regarding the extremely increased number of deaths and those infected with the COVID-19 virus in Sandžak, to send aid in medical supplies and equipment to the endangered areas of Sandžak. We sincerely hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the motherland of Bosniaks in Sandžak, and despite its own challenges, will show understanding and humanity," the appeal states.
