Association of Generals supports Mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić, authorities urged to investigate threats by Amir Gross Kabiri

(Patria) - It seems that every free-thinking, patriotically oriented and prominent citizen of Bosnia
and Herzegovina must be targeted by those who do not love and respect Bosnia and Herzegovina, its institutions and its citizens.

This is stated by the Association of Generals of BiH in a statement of support for the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, regarding the threats and attacks made against her by Israeli businessman and owner of Aluminij, Amir Gross Kabiri.

"This time, a certain individual named Amir Gross Kabiri has targeted the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Benjamina Karić – Londrc. If it weren't disgusting, it would be laughable that someone like that even comments on the views and actions of our mayor, who is a moral pillar and a person who dignifiedly and sincerely represents the multinational and multicultural character of Sarajevo. Simply put, this Kabiri, and all other ill-intentioned individuals, must accept that all of us patriotically oriented Bosnians and Herzegovinians will never again remain silent and bow our heads before threats and insults. Never again will anyone impose their views and opinions on us, never
again will we think with someone else's head, but only and exclusively with our own," they state from the Association of Generals of BiH.

They add: "We, the members of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stand fully behind the mayor, in protecting her work and her efforts to spread the truth about Sarajevo and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The truth is on her side and ours. And everything that our homeland went through in the past aggression and the city of Sarajevo, which preserved all its moral values despite the 1,425-day siege, gives us the right to raise our voices regarding all the suffering and injustices happening today."

"We once again emphasize our firm support for the mayor, and we call on all institutions and civil society organizations to raise their voices and condemn such inappropriate comments and attacks on a mother, a woman, a scientist, a proud Bosnian and Herzegovinian, a Sarajevan, Benjamina Karić – Londrc. We demand and require from the competent state authorities to act within their powers on the mayor's report and in no case succumb to any pressure," the statement concludes.
