Victims' Associations: Revoke the Decision on Appointing Saliha Đuderija as a Member of the INO BiH Directorate Board

(Patria) - Victims' associations have requested the Management Board of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina to revoke the decision on appointing Saliha Đuderija as a member of the INO BiH Directorate Board.

They reminded that the term of the Management Board members had expired, and therefore they could not appoint a member of the Directorate Board.

"Shameful is the role of the Minister of Human Rights and Refugees, whom we warned not to allow this farce and the appointment of his associate to the position of Institute Director, because even before the session, almost a month earlier, Saliha Đuderija had been spreading the story that she would be appointed to the position of Director at the Institute. Unfortunately, the minister ignored our request.

It is shameful that Saliha Đuderija is credited with the adoption of the Law on the Rights of Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina. What benefit do families have from that law? What rights do they enjoy under that law?

The law is a dead letter, and the only one who clearly benefits from it is Saliha Đuderija," stated the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the Association Movement 'Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves', the Association 'Women of Podrinje', the Association 'Women of Srebrenica', and the Association 'Mothers of Srebrenica'.
