Associations React to Dačić's Claims: Serbia Still Hides Accused War Criminals, You Cannot Lecture Anyone

(Patria) - The associations Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves and the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide responded to the insinuations of Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić.

"Without entering into your political conflict but bearing in mind that you are uttering complete fabrications with the aim of spreading fear among members of the Serbian people in BiH about alleged mujahideen echelons, which is a complete lie and disinformation. But if by chance there is even one such person who has been convicted or is under indictment, we ask you to state the name and the country that is seeking them. On the other hand, you, that is Serbia, has protected and continues to protect brigades of accused and convicted war criminals.

Why do you not extradite convicted war criminal Novak Đukić to Bosnia and Herzegovina? Why are you hiding accused war criminal Milomir Savčić?

We could list until tomorrow all those who have been convicted or against whom an indictment has been raised, and who enjoy your protection.

In the ICJ ruling, it clearly states that Serbia is responsible because it did not prevent genocide; it also states, in the same ruling, that Serbia continues to protect and hide those accused of war crimes before the ICTY and has not shown willingness to cooperate.

You, Mr. Dačić, as the heir to a policy whose foundations were laid by Slobodan Milošević, and whose crimes were carried out by convicted war criminals Jovica Stanišić and Frenki Simatović, have no right to lecture anyone on human rights or the alleged protection of war criminals.
