(Patria) - The decision of the Director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, Emir Suljagić, was supported by a joint statement from the Movement "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa", and the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the Association of Women of Podrinje, Mothers of Srebrenica, and the Association of Women of Srebrenica.
- Anyone who in any way supports the Mayor of Srebrenica, who denies the genocide committed against the Bosniak people in Srebrenica, insults and accuses the mothers of Srebrenica, is not welcome at the Memorial Center, nor anywhere else to commemorate the genocide.
The line of decency and responsibility towards the victims of genocide must be known – the statement reads.
We remind you that the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH, Helena Lagerlof, was denied a welcome at the Srebrenica Memorial Center today.
The Ambassador, as Istraga wrote, was denied a welcome due to the decision to meet with the Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality, Mladen Grujičić, on the same day she was supposed to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.
