Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Sarajevo also participate: 58th Mašinijada this year in Bulgaria

Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo are actively preparing and organizing for the upcoming international sports and educational competition for students of mechanical engineering faculties. Mašinijada is a traditional competition and gathering of students from 16 mechanical engineering faculties in the former Yugoslavia and as such represents the largest sports and educational event for students in the Balkans.

"The primary task of Mašinijada is to gather future mechanical engineers from the former Yugoslavia to exchange knowledge, skills, and experiences, and thereby make new acquaintances with colleagues from the region. Our goal is to present and promote the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Sarajevo and the city of Sarajevo, as the capital of BiH and one of the most interesting tourist destinations in Eastern Europe, in the best possible way, primarily through competition in knowledge but also in sports activities, thus showcasing the best possible image of the quality of our students, professors, and faculty," Haris Mujezinović, President of the Assembly of the Student Association of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Sarajevo, told us.

So far, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Sarajevo has participated a total of three times, and already in the second year it stood out in quality.

"We first participated in this competition in May 2015, and already the following year we achieved notable results and took third place in knowledge, while last year we won second place in knowledge, fourth place in sports, and finished third overall out of 16 faculties, thus confirming the epithet of the best faculty from Bosnia and Herzegovina," points out Senid Delić, one of the organizers of this year's Mašinijada.

This year, students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo will "attack" first place in knowledge, sports, and the general ranking.

"This year, Mašinijada will be held in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, from April 30 to May 5, 2018. Preparations for Mašinijada are in full capacity; we have been actively working on the organization for a month. We hereby invite all companies and institutions, at all levels of government, to financially support us according to their own capabilities and plans, and thus be part of the largest sports and educational event for students in the Balkans.

We invite all our dear colleagues to apply for Mašinijada because they can expect a guaranteed good time, a positive story, and excellent socializing with their future fellow engineers," said Samir Ahmetović, President of the Student Association of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Sarajevo, in conclusion.
