Frequent landslides call for caution on roads in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Traffic on roads in BiH is moving on dry and occasionally wet pavement, and BIHAMK warns of frequent landslides and advises more cautious driving.

On the Tuzla-Kalesija road (section Simin Han-Caparde) due to works in the Čaklovići tunnel, traffic is suspended from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and diverted to an alternative route via Dubrava. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, while from the direction of Kalesija they use the bypass around the tunnel. Freight vehicles are also directed to the road via Dubrava during the day.

Works are also underway in the Crnaja tunnel on the Konjic-Jablanica section, where traffic alternates during the day using one lane, while at night (11 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.) traffic through the tunnel is suspended.

Among other roads with ongoing works, the following stand out: Ustikolina-Goražde (Ustikolina and Mravinjac bridges), Doboj-Rudanka, Tarčin-Konjic (Donja Raštelica), Stolac-Hutovo (Cerovica location), Posušje-Tomislavgrad (Čitluk settlement) and Banovići-Ribnica (at the exit from Banovići), as well as the intersection of main roads in Bosanski Petrovac.

Due to numerous landslides and the risk of landslides on the main road Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, passenger vehicles are moving with difficulty, while traffic for freight vehicles is suspended.

Due to regular servicing of the Vis and Grab tunnels, tonight from 8 p.m. (until 6 a.m.) there will be a traffic suspension on the A-1 motorway section Tarčin-Sarajevo west.

At border crossings, there are currently no longer delays, BIHAMK reports.
