Participants of the Peace March walk through mud today, but giving up is not an option

(Patria) - Thousands of participants of the Peace March are covering the second stage today, and the rain that accompanied them has made conditions on the ground more difficult, with the trail being mostly muddy.

However, the participants have also conquered Mount Udrč, which is the most difficult part of today's stage, and are descending towards Konjević Polje and the Mravinjci camp, where they will spend the night.

Participants of the Peace March covered part of the stage barefoot or in summer footwear, but they did not give up.

The goal is to retrace the route that the people of Srebrenica took in July 1995, fleeing from the aggressor to free territory. Many of them died along that path, and their remains were found years later in the forests through which the participants are passing today.

This year, the Peace March is more numerous than in previous years, given that it is the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, and tomorrow, when the Peace March ends, certain domestic and foreign delegations are expected to join the March.
