Students of Druga gimnazija from Sarajevo win two medals at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics

(Patria) - At the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics held from October 29 to November 3, 2023 in Maribor, Slovenia, representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, excellent IT students from Sarajevo won two medals.

Students of Druga gimnazija, Faruk Ibrahimović and Benjamin Mujkić, won a silver and a bronze medal, while Farah Demirović, a student of Richmond Park School Sarajevo, was very close to winning another medal.

At the Olympiad, our competitors were led by their teachers Adnan Šalak and Admir Zateg.

“We are proud of their outstanding achievements and at the same time hope that these young IT specialists will continue to develop their skills and achieve even greater success in the future. Once again, bravo, with sincere congratulations also extended to their parents and teachers,” stated the Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton.
