Easing of Measures: Public Gatherings of 120 People Allowed in RS

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Republic Crisis Management Headquarters decided at today's session that from June 7, public gatherings of up to 120 people and private gatherings of up to 70 people will be allowed in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska (RS).

According to previously adopted measures, public gatherings of up to 100 people and private gatherings of up to 50 people were allowed.

"It will be possible to organize weddings and similar celebrations while respecting the measures of the Institute of Public Health," said Branislav Zeljković, director of the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, at a press conference.

He said that during the past week, 9.2 percent of tested citizens were infected.

Zeljković announced the possibility of allowing live music performances in enclosed spaces with special epidemiological measures.

He called on citizens to continue respecting the measures, stating that along with immunization, this is the best weapon against the coronavirus.

Speaking about the vaccination process, Zeljković said that so far 102,212 people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 32,396 citizens in the RS have received the second dose.
