At least 1,000 Bosniak men and boys killed

As announced by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, those arrested in Serbia are suspected of killing at least 1,000 captured Bosniaks, men and boys, at the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative site, in July 1995. During the activities, the chief prosecutors of BiH and Serbia, Goran Salihović and Vladimir Vukčević, were in constant contact and coordination.

The arrested individuals are under investigation and are suspected of having directly participated in the killing of at least 1,000 captured Bosniaks, men and boys, at the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative site, in July 1995, as former members of the Jahorina Training Center Special Police Brigade of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Several individuals suspected of this crime have previously been prosecuted in cases handled by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and investigations against a certain number of individuals are still ongoing.

As part of the cooperation and assistance to colleagues in Serbia, representatives of the victims' families of war crimes, in their capacity as injured parties, have given consent to the Serbian judiciary to prosecute these suspects, which represents a clear sign of trust and cooperation.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has offered full support to its colleagues in Serbia in their work on prosecuting this case and congratulated the prosecutor's office and the police for the successful and professional execution of the operation to apprehend the suspects in Serbia.

Cooperation between the two prosecutor's offices will continue, aiming at prosecuting other perpetrators of this and other war crimes, the statement said.
