VII Symposium in Zenica: 800 pharmacists gather, seeking better status

Organised by the Chamber of Master Pharmacists of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the VII Symposium of Master Pharmacists is being held in Zenica from 2 to 4 December 2016, reports the Patria news agency.

The theme of the symposium is “Competencies of Master Pharmacists”, prevention and treatment of colds and flu, and 800 master pharmacists from across Bosnia and Herzegovina are in Zenica today.

Zahida Binakaj, President of the Chamber of Pharmacists of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasised that such a large turnout for the Symposium actually means that colleagues want to hear what is new in the profession.

- We are acquiring new knowledge. We need better treatment in society, which is currently jeopardised. We deserve a better position in this medical profession, and we will achieve that by acquiring new knowledge – Binakaj pointed out.

The Symposium is held with the support of the largest domestic pharmaceutical company, Bosnalijek, and participants have the opportunity to take part in current discussions, contribute to their dynamics, and try to clarify any dilemmas together through the exchange of experiences and practices, as well as socialising with other colleagues.

Participation in the symposium will be scored by the Chamber of Master Pharmacists of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with the applicable Rulebook. We remind that according to the applicable Law on Health Care of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Chamber of Master Pharmacists is the only authority authorised to score master pharmacists of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
