Renovation of the burned Centar Municipality building in the final phase

The renovation of the Centar Municipality building, which was burned during citizen protests on February 7, 2014, is entering its final phase, the Centar Municipality announced, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

According to Mirza Islambegović, a member of the Expert Team for Construction, Coordination, and Execution of Renovation Works on the Centar Municipality Building, finishing construction-craft and installation works are currently being carried out in the facility.

- Everything is mainly based on equipping the offices to move employees back into the Municipality premises. After that, there will only be remaining works related to the corridors, i.e., floor covering and the like, Islambegović emphasized.

The renovation of the Centar Municipality building has been ongoing for six months, and as Islambegović stated, the facility should be completed in the seventh month of work.

- We had certain problems with the requirements of fire protection regulations and building security regulations in terms of installing additional hydrants. This came late as a project and slightly slowed down the works, but we managed to complete that job as well. Mostly, painting and floor-laying works remain, i.e., installing PVC floors, as the parquet is mostly finished - Islambegović pointed out, reports Patria.
