Aid arrives in Vukosavlje for replanting 200 hectares of corn

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth WAMY-NEDWE responded to the call of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees and provided aid for replanting 200 hectares of corn in the area of Vukosavlje, confirmed by this organization, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Seed material, mineral fertilizer and fuel have been provided for the flood-affected population.

As previously confirmed by the municipal mayor Elvir Hadžiomerović, the Bosna River, which flows through Vukosavlje, overflowed in the area of Modrički lug and flooded 200 households, cutting off about 900 of them from the rest of the municipality.

The water supply facility from which the residents of Vukosavlje obtained drinking water was completely destroyed, so most of them now have problems with clean water supply.

Road communication with Modriča and neighboring Odžak was interrupted, and rescuers with boats from Croatia had to participate in saving the victims, because due to the speed of the Bosna River, the Civil Protection from Vukosavlje was not able to do it alone.

The aid from the World Assembly of Muslim Youth was handed over to Vukosavlje in the presence of Mayor Hadžiomerović, the director of Nedwe for Bosnia and Herzegovina Ibrahim Husić, and the advisor to the Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Adil Osmanović, reports NAP
