Incomplete remains of one body found in Vlasenica

VLASENICA, (Patria) - At the site of Debelo Brdo-Jelovik, in the municipality of Vlasenica,  the exhumation process has been completed, which was coordinated by an investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the exhumation site, upon the order of the acting prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes.

The incomplete remains found have been transported to the premises of the Public Company "Commemorative Center" Tuzla, where identification will be carried out using DNA analysis method and the identity of the victim whose remains were found will be determined.

The investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina directly supervised and coordinated the exhumation process and field activities, and the exhumation process involved officials of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic medicine specialist, as well as police officers of the Vlasenica Police Station who secured the location and performed criminal-technical processing of evidence and the crime scene.

Employees of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina participate almost daily in the search for remains and exhumations of war crime victims throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
