Electronic signature officially in use at the FBiH Government starting today

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić officially marked the beginning of the use of an electronic signature qualified by the Indirect Taxation Authority in the FBiH Government today with the first signature on an act. This means the electronic signature is officially in use at the FBiH Government starting today.

With the aim of improving digital and electronic exchange of documents and acts, the Prime Minister, ministers, and the secretary of the FBiH Government were previously issued electronic signatures by the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, which can be used in electronic communication between bodies in BiH.

The goal of introducing the digital signature is also to improve the efficiency and transparency of the FBiH Government's work and to facilitate administrative tasks.

Digital signatures are a practice in European Union countries, and starting today, they will also be used in the Government of the Federation of BiH.

This activity of the FBiH Government is part of the public administration digitalization project successfully implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of BiH and the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.

The possibility of applying electronic signatures in electronic communication between bodies in FBiH is foreseen by the Law on Electronic Signature of BiH, the Law on Electronic Document of FBiH, and the Law on Administrative Procedure of FBiH and the Rulebook on Office Operations in FBiH.
