Peaceful protests for Dženan Memić in Velika aleja

Peaceful protests will be held today in Velika aleja on Ilidža to once again demand the truth about the death of Dženan Memić, who on this day sustained severe injuries from which he died on February 15, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The joint gathering of family, friends, and fellow citizens will be at 1:00 PM in front of the Ilidža Municipality building. The protest "Truth and Justice for Dženan Memić" will begin at 2:00 PM in Velika aleja, the place where the young man died on that fateful night.

His death is still shrouded in mystery, and the Memić family has claimed from the very beginning that it was a murder, and the only witness that night was his girlfriend Alisa Mutap.

Although the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office had opened an investigation against an unknown perpetrator for the criminal offense of murder, it was announced in August that the qualification had been changed.

At the end of May last year, Ljubo Seferović, Vasvija Sejdić, and Bekrija Seferović were arrested. The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović for the criminal offense of grave offenses against public traffic safety and for the criminal offense of failure to provide assistance to a person injured in a traffic accident and the criminal offense of obstruction of evidence, in the case of Dženan Memić's death.

Given that the Memić family suspected such a turn of events, they demanded that the truth be established.

The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton established an independent "ad hoc" commission to oversee the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton in this case, and its report revealed a series of omissions in the work of certain MUP KS officials who led the investigation in the case of Dženan Memić in a different direction.

During the trial itself, witnesses who have testified so far have presented conflicting claims.
