Constant and significant temperature changes seem to have become the norm this winter, if this can even be called winter, BiH storm chaser Nedim Sladić tells the Patria agency.
- Tuesday 17°, Thursday 1°, Saturday 11°C. So, once again, from extreme to extreme. The fact that today the top of Bjelašnica measures only 20 cm is both laughable and sad for snow lovers. And in a few days it will drop below 15 cm, but from Thursday this situation will improve slightly – Sladić's measuring instruments show.
On Tuesday, temperatures with plenty of sunshine will rise from 15° in the central and eastern parts, up to 22°C in the north of the country, this young expert is certain. Wednesday afternoon brings a gradual cooling, and we will feel it most on Thursday when temperatures will drop by as much as 15°C. Sladić does not expect larger amounts of snow; on Thursday, the central and eastern parts of BiH will be decoratively whitened with snow no more than 7 cm deep.
Already from Friday, after a truly cold morning, he says, a different story will be told - another warming from the west follows with a moderate southerly wind. Then until February 15, albeit still unofficially, as forecast models depict the situation, warm and very warm weather would persist with a southerly and southeasterly wind, but not entirely stable.
Is that all from winter for this year?
- Of course not. Well, it's only February – says Sladić.
