Around 1,000 doctors of medicine and dentistry protesting in Tuzla

TUZLA, (Patria) - Around 1,000 doctors of medicine and dentistry from the Tuzla Canton will hold a peaceful protest gathering in Tuzla today.

Colleagues from all over the Federation will join them, and the reason is the failure to sign a collective agreement with this Professional union.

They state that they are forced to take this step due to, as they say, the discriminatory attitude of the TK Government towards doctors employed in the public health sector.

We remind you that they went on strike on June 4.

- That strike has been obstructed in various ways. We have announced on several occasions that court bans have been issued because this strike has been banned at the Clinical Center in Tuzla, then at the Health Center in Tuzla, and yesterday at the General Hospital in Gračanica.

So, we are under great pressure, colleagues are not allowed to express their views and disagreement with such treatment in a democratic way. This is truly a defense of the dignity of doctors, our profession - said Nermina Kravić, president of the Professional union of doctors of medicine and dentistry of TK.
