Book "Palestine I: Sadism" by academic Sead Alić promoted in Tuzla

(Patria) - A promotion of the book "Palestine I: Sadism" by academic, Prof. Dr. Sead Alić, will be held today at 6:00 PM in the premises of the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC) Tuzla.

The book presents a series of texts written immediately before and during the current events in Palestine, through which the author openly and without reservation speaks about the genocide against Palestinians, the role of global powers, and the collapse of Western values.

Instead of a classic scientific approach, Sead Alić chooses an engaged and essayistic discourse in the book, calling on reasonable people around the world to awaken their conscience and act against injustice.

This book has already caused strong reactions after its presentation was banned in Zagreb at the request of the Jewish Community of Croatia.

The author emphasized at the time that the book does not equate the Jewish people with Zionist policy, but critically analyzes the systemic injustices against the Palestinian people.

Prof. Dr. Sead Alić and Prof. Dr. Najil Kurtić will speak about the book at the promotion, organized by Dialogos and BKC of Tuzla Canton.

The audience will have the opportunity to become acquainted with texts that explore the roots of human evil, point to the role of politics, economics, religion, and media in shaping contemporary stereotypes, and expose the abuse of the idea of the "chosen people" to justify neocolonial and violent policies.

Sead Alić, a philosopher and writer originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been living and working in Zagreb for decades.

He is the founder of the Cultural Center KCCK, editor of the scientific journal Inmediasres, also edits philosophy of media collections (University North), is a member of the editorial board of the journal CM (Belgrade, Novi Sad), the journal Minber of the Mesihovinat of the Islamic Community in Croatia, and the author of numerous projects in the field of culture, philosophy, and media.
