(Patria) - The Tuzla City Council today adopted a decision on the increase in heating prices.
Heating will be more expensive starting from January 1st, 2025. An increase in the price of heating services per square meter and the price of heating services per calculated consumption has been proposed.
It was stated that no additional financial resources from the Tuzla City budget are needed for the implementation of this decision.
- We are witnessing a general increase in the cost of living, and when it comes to the distribution sector, i.e., the supply of thermal energy, primarily the variable costs to Central Heating from the thermal energy supplier have increased by 51.9 percent.
Regarding electricity, Central Heating has lost its status as a public supplier based on the FERC decision, and in that regard, there has been an increase in electricity prices, and of course, in 2025, according to announcements, electricity prices will increase by 20 percent.
Previously, the price was 1.44 per square meter, and with this increase, it will be 1.73, and similarly, regarding megawatt-hours, compared to the previous 56.74, it will now be slightly over 67 marks - said the director of JP Central Heating Tuzla, Nermina Babajić.
Councilor in the City Council Mirnes Ajanović (BOSS) says that this will also mean an increase in all other services.
- Everyone will calculate. It's not just a problem that citizens will have to pay 20 percent more, but all other prices for everything will also increase due to the heating price - states Ajanović.
